Utah Mountain Family Photographer | Cordingly Family Session
There’s a certain magic that happens when families gather in the mountains for photos. As a Utah mountain family photographer, I get to witness and preserve those moments forever. The Cordingly family’s session was a perfect example of why I love what I do. They hadn’t updated their family portraits in years, and now, with a sweet new grandbaby in the mix, it was the perfect time to celebrate.

Capturing Connection as a Utah Mountain Family Photographer
Jessica, the heart of the family, radiated calm and kindness throughout the shoot. Her warmth set the tone for the entire session. From the first frame to the last, you could feel the closeness between them. Gentle hugs, quiet smiles, and playful moments filled the evening. Each image became a piece of their family’s love story.
We chose the Snowbasin area for their backdrop, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. The wildflowers were in full bloom, dotting the landscape with color. Soft, golden light poured over the mountains. The sweeping views gave the photos both grandeur and intimacy, letting nature frame their connection perfectly.

Why Family Photos Matter
Life moves quickly, and it’s easy to push family photos down the to-do list. But moments like these—a new baby, a summer evening, and the joy of being together—deserve to be preserved. Photography doesn’t just capture how people look; it freezes the emotions, the laughter, and the small gestures that define a family.
One of my favorite shots from the session showed the entire family gathered around the newest little one. The joy on every face told a full story of generations, pride, and the deep bonds that time only strengthens.
