As a family photographer, I love finding locations that offer both beautiful scenery and meaningful connections to the families I photograph. That’s exactly why I love shooting Utah State University family photos.
The Neeley family’s session on the Utah State University campus was the perfect reminder that family portraits don’t always need dramatic mountain views to create timeless images. Sometimes the combination of beautiful architecture, mature trees, and meaningful family connections creates something even more special.
One of the things I love most about the USU campus is its versatility. Whether we’re photographing young families, extended families, graduates, or couples, there are countless beautiful backdrops within walking distance.
Why Utah State University family photos are so popular
Utah State University has become one of my favorite locations in Cache Valley for family sessions because it offers so much variety.
The historic buildings add character and elegance. The tree-lined pathways create beautiful depth. During different seasons, the landscaping changes completely, which means every gallery feels unique.
Families also appreciate how accessible the campus is. Grandparents can easily participate, young children have room to move, and we can create a wide variety of images without covering a lot of ground.
A perfect location in the heart of Logan
One thing I love about photographing families in Logan is that there are so many incredible locations close together.
After spending time on campus, you’re only minutes from downtown Logan, Logan Canyon, First Dam, and some of Cache Valley’s most beautiful parks. The entire area offers endless opportunities for family photography throughout the year.
The USU campus feels especially timeless because it blends natural beauty with classic architecture in a way that never goes out of style.
