A vintage newborn baby girl photo session in the studio is what dreams are made of. This family adores all things vintage. They brought the most beautiful props and clothing for their first baby’s newborn session. Dainty little bonnets, handmade blankets, stuffed animals. The prettiest dress, and even a bottle!
They chose a soft palette for their clothing with white, pale pink and sage green. I am partial to those colors because they were the exact same ones I chose for my wedding! Even the little roses on moms dress reminded me of my pink rose bouquet. I am also a huge fan of all things vintage, and little bonnets for babies. I only have one girl along with my five boys, and you can bet that she wore bonnets and frilly dresses every day. At least until she decided she had her own opinion on clothing.
The love this couple has for their baby girl, and each other showed. The moment they walked through the door they were all just glowing with happiness. It is my favorite when dad is involved and this one obviously adored his little one. He swaddled, fed, and even changed her!
One of the things I love to do during newborn sessions is make sure each parent has their own special pictures with their baby. This is especially important after someone becomes a parent for the first time. I love to capture how the parents take care of them. Every parent has their own unique touch with their babies, moms and dads included. Often I will have them swaddle the baby and hold them their favorite way. It is also fun to capture the parents laying baby into the crib or bassinet. I loved that I was able to get some shots of them feeding her at this session as well!
