This Kylee Ann Destination Sleepover was held in Wasilla, Alaska. Eleven girls cuddled up in Rachel’s grandma’s gorgeous wood cabin. Grandam Irene was so gracious to open the cabin. Last year I took the #kyleeanndestinationsleepover to my favorite place (the Oregon Coast). This year my goal was to see more of the world. Bringing 11 girls to Alaska not only checked off a corner of my vision board but more importantly, I was about to bring my loyal workshop assistant//slave😬 @rachel.kastudios to her favorite destination. I hope she thinks all the errand running, chauffeuring and bed prepping was a good trade off to show us why Alaska is such a special place in her heart.
We had attendees from Texas, Washington, Idaho, Utah and Alaska. It was the perfect mix of different types of weddings, markets and personalities. We could all talk for hours and never had problems coming up with things to say. Embarrassing moments were shared. Interesting experiences. Most legit moments. You name it. So many laughs.
I always cover a broad range of topics – including photography, marketing, business, branding and editing. We sit in comfy chairs and couches in the living room, and stay up way too late each night. Snacking on food the entire time. The Kylee Ann Sleepovers are meant to be relaxed, full of learning and making new friends. Along with all the teaching, we do styled shoots with local vendors and beautiful nearby locations. The Alaskan styled shoot at Eklutna lake did not disappoint, and neither did our local vendors and models.

Meanwhile, I got to bring my husband and father in law. They were sent on a father son fishing trip while us girls took over the cabin. It was amazing to be able to share this experience with them. Something they had always wanted to do together. I sent my father in law with my camera and a couple of instructions. He carried it around the whole time and got some incredible photos.
