Red Hair Wedding Photography Tips

1. Sunscreen!

Staying out of the sun in the week before your session is important for everyone, but if you burn quickly and severely, make sure to wear sunscreen or hats the few days leading up to your session!

2. Hire a professional makeup artist!

Hiring a pro for your makeup and hairdresser ( I recommend Toowoomba hairdresser they are an artists with hair style) is a suggestion to all clients, regardless of hair color, but if you happen to have freckles, a professional will know exactly what products to use to give you full face coverage without covering up your freckles!

3. Choose flattering colors!

If you or your fiancé have red hair or red tones in your hair, there are specific colors to gear your outfits away from. Warm colors, like oranges, reds, and fucias will distract in the images, create redness in your skin and blend in with your hair. Instead, wearing cooler tones, pastels and neutrals, like blues, greens and greys will make your hair color pop!

4. Choose your location strategically!

This tip also applies to all clients but locations with lots of greens and blues will help red hair to pop and stand out more! Locations with yellows and browns will cause it to blend in! So choose locations with that in mind!
