Say YES! to the Dress
I always wanted to see my mom’s wedding dress–I even remember being a small little girl and asking her if I could see it and try it on. My mom rented her dress because they were so poor and wanted to save money. So I only ever got to see it in pictures. I knew that I’d buy my dress so that my daughters could see it and try it on.
I got my dress at Petals & Promises, and it is the perfect dress. Lucy put sleeves on it, because I’ve always imagined my dress with sleeves and even though my dress was perfect to begin with, I knew that adding sleeves would make me even more happy. I’m not proud of how much I spent on my dress, but every single person I’ve talk to you has told me it was worth it.
There are always ways you can save in other areas, but your dress is one of the most important purchases so don’t settle. And if you really can’t afford a dress, don’t try it on!
Even though I spent a huge portion of my budget, I don’t have any regrets. My advise is: Girl, get the dress you want! Get the dress you want!! Seriously, get the dress YOU want!!!
