This Cache Valley engagement photos in the Wellsville Hills session with Brielle and Bridger was one of those shoots where you leave feeling like you just hung out with old friends for an hour instead of “working.”
These two are seriously so adorable together.
They met on a dating app and instantly hit it off. Their first date kept going because they couldn’t stop talking, and honestly, after spending time with them, that makes complete sense. Their connection feels so easy and natural. They laugh constantly, tease each other nonstop, and genuinely seem like best friends.
And for me personally, this session felt extra emotional in the sweetest way because the last time I photographed Brielle was right before her mission for her mission pictures. Now here we are a few years later, taking engagement photos before her wedding day.
I absolutely love getting to witness seasons of life like that.

We photographed this session in the Wellsville Hills, and it could not have fit their vibe better. The rolling hills, soft grass, and mountain views gave everything that warm, romantic Cache Valley feeling without looking overly formal or stiff.
The Wellsvilles are one of my favorite locations for engagement sessions because they feel open and peaceful while still giving so much variety in the background. Every direction photographs beautifully, especially during golden hour when the light starts wrapping around the hills.
For Brielle and Bridger, the location felt especially fitting because they both love being outdoors together. Instead of forcing overly posed moments, we leaned into movement, conversation, and just letting them interact naturally.
Those are always the images couples end up loving most anyway.
Why relaxed couples always photograph best
One thing I noticed immediately with these two is how comfortable they are together. There was zero awkwardness. No overthinking. No stiff posing energy.
Just constant chatting and laughing the entire session.
That kind of connection changes everything in engagement photography because it allows the photos to feel real instead of overly curated. My goal is always to create images that feel like the couple, not just pictures of the couple.
Brielle and Bridger made that easy.
At one point during the session, I found myself barely needing to direct them because they naturally interacted so well together. Those are the dream sessions as a photographer because you get to focus more on documenting moments and less on manufacturing them.
