This session with the Putnam family was one of those perfectly chaotic and heartwarming moments that make me love being a photographer that takes Cache Valley Family Pics. Their daughter had just returned home from her mission in North Carolina, and they reached out last-minute hoping to squeeze in a quick session for their Christmas card. With everyone’s schedules going in a million directions, we found a window—and made it happen!
Even better? Some of the kids got to skip a little school for pictures. Honestly, that’s the kind of priority I love to see. These moments go fast, and being able to freeze time—even just for a short session—is always worth it.
We kept the session quick, relaxed, and fun. There was laughter, teasing, and lots of love. It was clear how proud they were to have their missionary home, and the energy was just so sweet. These are the kinds of sessions I’ll never forget—not because they were posed perfectly or planned months in advance, but because they were real, full of meaning, and focused on what matters most: family.
