Cache Valley Family Pictures with Meaning | Arias Family | Extended Family Session
These Cache Valley Family Pictures with Meaning were one of those that hit a little deeper than usual. Their older kids live in Utah and come back often to visit, spending time with the younger ones still at home. It was a rare window when everyone was together, and they wanted to capture it while they could. I’m so glad they did.
What made this session even more personal for me was the timing—I took these photos just a few days after my own dad passed away. Being with this sweet family, watching their goofy dad make the kids laugh and lovingly embarrass them, reminded me so much of my own family. Especially those years when I had just moved out and was coming back to visit. It was healing, special, and so full of heart.
We kept things light and playful, which was easy with this crew. The dad had us all laughing, the kids were patient and kind, and the love between siblings (and cousins) really shined through. We took individual family shots, big group poses, and lots of candid, in-between moments.
Why Extended Family Photos Matter
It’s not always easy to get everyone in the same place at the same time. But when it happens? It’s so worth documenting. Extended family sessions like this one are about more than just the photos—they’re about freezing a moment when your people were all together, before the next chapter starts.
Whether you live nearby or are meeting in Cache Valley for a fun family visit, I’d love to help you capture the people who mean the most.
To this sweet family—thank you for giving me such a meaningful session at just the right time. I’ll never forget it.
