Extended Family Photos in Garden City, Utah | Darling Family Reunion
Photographing the Brenda Darling family reunion was such a highlight of the summer! This amazing extended family—60 people strong—gathered in beautiful Garden City, Utah, near Bear Lake for an unforgettable photo session filled with laughter, hugs, and heartfelt moments.
Families came from as far as Alaska and Texas to be together, and you could feel the love and excitement in every interaction. The weather was absolutely perfect—sunny skies, a light breeze, and soft golden light that made every photo glow.

Organizing a group of this size might sound like a challenge, but the Darling family handled it like pros. Everyone was cooperative, cheerful, and full of energy. We moved through different groupings quickly—big family portraits, grandkids with grandparents, sibling groups, and even some fun cousin shots. Every single person showed up ready to be present and have fun.
One of my favorite moments came at the very end of the session when the whole family got into the water for Grandma. It was such a sweet, spontaneous gesture, and those splashy, joy-filled photos are going to be some of their most treasured memories. That kind of love and legacy is exactly why extended family photos matter so much.
