Cub River Sunflower Family Photos | Emilee and Kiddos
I absolutely loved photographing the Anderson family during their Cub River sunflower family photos in Idaho. Even though the blooms were just starting to fade, they were still so bright and beautiful—especially paired with the hazy mountains in the distance. The scene felt like it was pulled from a painting.
This single mama showed up with her three amazing kiddos and their sweet ten-year-old pup, Chewy. It was Chewy’s very first time being included in family photos, and since he’s getting older, they wanted to make sure he was part of this memory. Watching the kids snuggle him and laugh when he looked at the camera made the whole session feel extra special.

Each child brought something different to the session—their personalities were so unique and so fun to capture. One was shy and thoughtful, another was playful and silly, and the third was bold and full of giggles. Watching them interact with each other and their mom gave me all the feels. You can tell they’re incredibly close and have such a strong bond.
Mom was an absolute rockstar. It’s no small thing to wrangle kids, a dog, and look amazing for photos—and she did it all with so much grace. She gave each child their moment to shine, and I loved capturing those one-on-one moments between her and each kid.

Why Sunflower Sessions in Cub River Are So Beautiful
Cub River is such a special spot, especially in late summer. Even as the sunflowers start to wane, they still bring that vibrant pop of color that makes your family stand out. And the way the light filters through the fields at golden hour? Pure magic.
