Highway 38 Glass | Modern Branding Photography Session at White Space Studios in Bountiful

Watching clients grow and step into new chapters of life is one of the most rewarding parts of being a photographer. Emily and John’s Bountiful Utah branding photography session for their business, Highway 38 Glass, was a perfect example of that full-circle experience.

Emily and John originally came to me for family photos, and over time they became much more than clients. They’ve become wonderful friends. When Emily told me they had started their own glass business and wanted to invest in professional branding photos, I was so excited to help bring their vision to life.

This session was especially meaningful for another reason—it was the first shoot I photographed after joining Kylee Ann Studios. Getting to kick off that new chapter with returning clients who mean so much to me made the experience even more special.

Planning a Bountiful Utah Branding Photography Session

For this shoot, Emily had a very clear creative direction. Because their business centers around glass, she wanted a location that featured large windows and clean lines so the environment could visually reflect their work.

White Space Studios in Bountiful turned out to be the perfect location. The studio offers beautiful natural light and large glass windows that became both a backdrop and a subtle reference to their business. The space gave us a modern, polished setting while still allowing Emily and John’s personalities to shine through.

Branding sessions work best when every detail supports the story of the business. From location selection to poses and props, each element should reinforce what the brand represents and the people behind it.

During Emily and John’s session, we focused on capturing a variety of images they could use across their marketing platforms, including:

  • Photos of Emily and John working together as business partners

  • Professional portraits for websites and social media profiles

  • Lifestyle images that show personality and connection

  • Clean headshots that can easily be used in marketing materials

  • Neutral background photos that allow graphics or branding to be added later

Creating this variety ensures business owners have a full library of images they can use across websites, social media, advertising, and printed materials.

A Business Built Together

Some of my favorite photos from the session were the images of Emily and John together. There is something incredibly special about couples who build a business side-by-side.

Their connection and teamwork came through so naturally during the shoot. Whether they were standing together in front of the studio’s glass windows or laughing between poses, those moments captured the heart behind their business.

Branding photography should always show more than just products or services. It should tell the story of the people who created the business and the passion that drives it forward.

Creating Versatile Branding Images

Another fun part of the session involved photographing Emily against a clean, simple wall while she tried a variety of poses and expressions. These images are incredibly valuable for digital marketing.

With a neutral background, the photos can easily be edited later so the background is removed or replaced. That allows Emily to place her portrait onto different marketing graphics, promotional materials, and branded content while keeping everything consistent with their visual identity.

Having these types of flexible images makes a branding gallery much more versatile for business owners.

Looking Ahead to the Next Shoot

Since this session, Emily and John have moved into a brand new shop location for Highway 38 Glass, and it’s absolutely beautiful. Seeing their business grow has been so exciting.

I already have so many ideas for their next branding session, especially now that we’ll be able to photograph them in their own workspace. Using their shop as the backdrop will add even more personality and authenticity to their brand imagery.

If you’re a business owner thinking about updating your marketing visuals, a branding photography session can completely transform how your brand shows up online. Professional images help you communicate your story, your expertise, and the heart behind your business.
