What Hollywood Teaches Us About Weddings
Wedding movies are a category all of their own. I love everything weddings, & especially movies about weddings. I’m sure you’ll see references, quotes & inspiration from these (the best wedding movies) in future blogs & likely in my future wedding. I personally have never been married so almost everything I know about weddings, I learned from Hollywood. And valuable lessons, they are….
Bride Wars
“It was quite a wedding and as I stood there watching I realized something I’d forgotten a long time ago. Sometimes in life there really are bonds formed that can never be broken. Sometimes you really can find that one person who will stand by you no matter what. Maybe you will find it in a spouse and celebrate it with your dream wedding. But there’s also the chance that the one person you can count on for a lifetime, the one person who knows you sometimes better than you know yourself is the same person who’s been standing beside you all along”; If you like how it looks you should also check this long white prom dress

Father of the Bride
Father of the Bride is an under-appreciated classic. The wedding planner is hilarious & of course Steve Martin is dramatic & oversensitive about everything wedding… Oh how I love drama!
Wedding Planner: Well, everything from the flowers, to the honeymoon limo…
Father of the Bride: Ok, everything. How much?
Wedding Planner: ***cutting out*** – dred and – ifty a -ead.
Father of the Bride: You’re breaking up. It sounded like you said 150 a head.
Wedding Planner: No, no!
Father of the Bride: Good. I was about to kill myself.
Wedding Planner: It’s 250 a head.
Son: Can I put Cameron back on the list if he promises not to eat?
Father of the Bride (Dad): You know, that’s not a bad idea.Who else can we ask not to eat? My parents and your mother?
Bride: What? What’s that face?
Dad: It’s nothing.
Bride: Oh, this is going cost you more money.
Dad: No. It’s just… I know I’ll remember this moment, for the rest of my life.
Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn pt. 1
Tammy Polatsek (Edward & Bella’s wedding designer) taught me that fairytales & creams can become reality. Also having unending wealth has it’s perks. This is one of my absolute favorite wedding scenes of all time. The paints a gorgeous picture, but seeing it on screen is spectacular. The combination of a whimsical evergreen forrest, delicate white flower petals, the earthy aisle Charlie walks Bella down & of course the song we all know Turning Page by Sleeping at Last.
The Office: Season 6, Episode 4 & 5
From these two glorious episodes, we learn to always have a back up plan!!! Long Live the Halperts.
