I bought tickets to my first photography conference, and then decided not to go.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was SO scared to leave my baby for the first time. I was also completely terrified to travel to Vegas by myself and attend a conference without any friends. Not to mention, I was pregnant with my second and feeling so tired and nauseous. There’s always an excuse to hold yourself back. Always.
The day the conference started. I had instant regret.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So instead of sitting around, my husband helped me pack my bags and make arrangements for the baby. And I booked a plane ticket to Vegas while I was driving to the airport. #besthusbandever I stepped out of my comfort zone. And into the next level of my photography business.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I can’t remember everything I learned but the most important thing I gained at that conference was confidence and community. I even had lunch with Katelyn James and Matt Kennedy Photos. They saw me sitting alone at the crepe shop and pulled up a seat at their table.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Growth wouldn’t be possible if we stayed in our comfort zones. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I asked on Instagram….What is one thing holding you back right now?
The answers were:
- FEAR. Fear of failure. Fear of not making an income.
- Not being there for my family. Balance.
- Confidence in myself, my work and my price.
What is holding you back?
