My favorite thing about photographing a child is how adventurous they are. With most sessions, I am in charge of leading families or couples into poses and locations, but with children, I let them control the session. Keetyn started off involved and smiling at the camera but as the session progressed his sense of adventure kicked in. Of course Tolmie is full of sand, seaweed, rocks and water which are all uncommon things to a curious little man. I love that he chose to get a little dirty and run around. When he looks back at his portraits as an adult, those shots of adventure will be way more interesting then the posed shots. He sure is a cutie!
