Eden is the youngest in her family, and this session felt like a full-circle moment. Years ago, I had the honor of photographing her sister’s baptism, and that day brought a little miracle—a rainbow appeared in the sky. Well, somehow, the magic showed up again for Eden. Just like her sister’s session, a rainbow made an appearance, and I don’t think any of us could have held back the tears. One of Eden’s favorite primary songs about baptism even mentions rainbows, which made this feel like a little heavenly nod just for her.

We shot at the beautiful Layton LDS Temple, and the setting truly couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun was glowing, casting the most golden light across the temple grounds. We noticed bees dancing through the lavender, and the American flag shone brightly in the breeze—small but powerful details that made the day feel extra meaningful.

Last Minute Change of Plans

Fun little twist? Eden’s baptism dress arrived in the wrong size—twice! So, they bought a new dress the day of the shoot. And honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The way it flowed in the light, paired with Eden’s joyful spirit, made every single photo feel timeless.

There’s something unique about photographing a baptism. It’s a sacred milestone. A moment of faith, growth, and celebration. And when it’s someone you love like family? It hits a little deeper. Eden radiated joy, and you could tell how excited she was for this next step in her spiritual journey. Her smile was pure sunshine.
