In our small town home, we managed to fit four adults, two teenagers, and two children. All the spare space was covered with air mattresses, suitcases and my weeks worth of clean laundry that had been building up due to graduation and wedding festivities. On the morning of the wedding, I was the first one up. I slept just about as well as I did on my own wedding night. I was so excited for my twin sister and best friend to marry the man of her dreams.
The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and when the bride and groom exited the temple, they were the happiest couple in town. Their eyes were lit up, smiles never left their face and they were both letting out cheers as they walked over to greet our family. Though it was a bit challenging and tiring, I was honored to be their wedding photographer. Let’s just say there was a tripod and lots of running involved. Luckily I didn’t have to use the timer button because my sweet friend, Rachel, was there to click the pictures that I was in.
When we got through all the family and friends shots, we headed over to the Bullen Center for the luncheon. Lauren made an amazing wedding video then each parent, Lauren and PJ said a few words. It was tender. :’)
Between the luncheon and reception, my mom and her crew turned the place into a beautiful reception hall. With Lauren’s amazing hand made decorations, treasures she found thrifting, lace table clothes, pearls and vintage photos from parents and grandparent’s weddings, the place was beautiful. They stood in the receiving line for the first hour while Paige played her harp in the background. It was perfect.
The rest of the reception was a party. I expected nothing less with these two. The lights were turned low and music was turned high. Brooklyn, Austin and my Dad sang and played instruments for all the slow songs. Then the happy couple rode off into the night on their motorcycle with Uncle B waving them goodbye.
