Photos in the Poppies

I’ve never shot in the Mantua poppies until now! Sarah and Luke took me there for my first shoot ever! I loved getting to hang out with these two for the evening! They are so easy going and so in love. They met earlier this year. Their first date was to Granny Annie’s which is famous for their scones and jam and then to a movie. Their second date is when things started to really click for them when they went snow snow shoeing and almost got caught in a blizzard!!

They love being outside together and going on hikes around Ogden. He even proposed a few weeks ago while on a hike! They hiked up to a waterfall and enjoy hanging out there together! Sarah didn’t even know anything was out of the ordinary until some other people showed up and he wanted to wait for them to leave the waterfall. When they were finally alone, he got down on one knee to propose to her and it was so easy for her to say yes!!

The Mantua poppies are pretty popular when they come out in June! It was pretty busy but luckily Hiliary was there too (our other photographer at KAS) and she saved us a spot up at the top. You would never know there were masses of people around because we found our own secluded spots. They were so giggly and happy together. I loved getting to see how truly best friends they are. We joked the whole time and they are basically professional models already. I have shot two of Sarah’s cousin’s wedding and I’m working my hardest to get invited into the Facer family!!! Oh and they totally nailed their outfits and she got her dress from Piper and Scoot and her shirt from Down East! I can’t wait for you to see all their amazing photos! Congrats you two!!
