Marriage Advice

Here is a marriage tip! “Be your husband’s girlfriend.” I usually post things for people who are not married yet, planning a wedding so if you are married, listen up!! I heard this sentence recently on a “marriage advice” podcast (yes I listen to those all the time) and it confused me. Luckily the host elaborated. She said if you need a refresh or change in the relationship, treat your husband the same as you did when you were his girlfriend!!

Keep things Interesting

Every date, every interest, every quirk was fun and exciting while dating. Doing activities that weren’t exactly your cup of tea were okay because he was there and it was cute to see him excited! You stayed at dinner long after the meals were finished just dreaming and chatting about life. You planned trips for the future and talked about what your kids would look like. Your whole worlds revived around each other! According to this podcast, for some couples this is a distance memory!

Shift Your Mindset

So here’s my advice, from a single wedding photographer… be your husband’s girlfriend or your wife’s boyfriend this week!! Don’t even tell your partner! A shift in mindset can change a lot!! This week I want you to sit and watch the show THEY want to watch, cook the food that you’ve always heard them say they love, wear the clothes you know they love!
