Meet Kimber.
Kimber was born in April very prematurely. She started her journey at Logan Regional. On May 10th, the doctors told Kimber’s parents that she would probably only live a few more months. Kimber was “floppy” in her arms and neck and the doctor’s were concerned with her lack of development. In May, they moved down to Mckay Dee Hospital to do more tests. They still weren’t able to find answers and had no idea when or if they were going to take their sweet baby girl home. It was a parent’s nightmare.
In May, a past client contacted me about this family. I reached out to this family for what we thought were going to be “saying goodbye” photos. We kept putting it off until they were going to be able to bring her home. My heart ached as I read her blog and Facebook posts… it was unimaginable the pain they were experiencing. They have been so faithful and optimistic through the entire process. It’s been such an inspiration.
After awhile in Mckay Dee, they were transferred again to Primary Children’s Hospital. Kimber was diagnosed with Prader Willi. She is 1 in 30 in Utah with Prader Willi and 1 in 3 in Cache Valley. After two months of long days, heavy emotions and hard trials, this family got to go home, with their baby in tow. Meet Kimber… a tiny, beautiful, miracle baby.
