Reunited With an Old Friend

Seeing Erin Hager again felt like the sweetest blast from the past. We went to high school together, so reconnecting while photographing her beautiful family felt special. These are the moments that make my job meaningful. I get to watch old friends step into new seasons of life while I document the story.

Her little girl showed up with a spark. She giggled. She explored. She brought so much joy to the session. And then came the wild moment none of us saw coming. A full-on moose wandered right across the field like it owned the place. Erin’s daughter wanted to run straight to it because she thought she could pet it. We kept a safe distance, of course, and then jumped right back into the cutest photos ever. It added a fun, unforgettable twist to an already magical fall evening.
