Sydney has been a MAJOR part of my photography journey since day one. When she was just a tiny girl, she was one my first models. (And yes it was on train tracks, obviously). Within the first year of starting my photography business, Sydney was diagnosed with cancer. 

I went from liking to take pictures to understanding the value behind them. The memories I was able to capture during her cancer journey changed my life and my career. A picture became more than a picture. Something you cannot explain until you experience loss or grief…or the threat of it. I photographed the last picture before she lost her hair, the first picture with no hair, wigs, family pictures….all the way till the cancer free bell. Then a year anniversary photoshoot, her senior pictures…

And my most favorite of all: her wedding. This day was absolutely beautiful, and everything that she deserves and more. I am beyond thrilled that Sydney and David found each other. We loved and welcomed David in INSTANTLY. He is kind, he is funny, he is fun, he is patient and he is so good to our Syd girl.
