Playful Portraits at the Poppy Fields with the Lee Family
Some sessions stick with you forever—and this one with the Lee family in Mantua, Utah was definitely one of them. From start to finish, we had nonstop smiles, sibling shenanigans, and golden light that made everything glow. These playful portraits at the poppy fields brought out so much personality, especially thanks to the Lee twins and their contagious energy.
We started at Mantua’s famous poppy field. The blooms were at their peak, lighting up the scene with bold reds and soft greens. The twins were full of life—spinning, giggling, and making each other laugh the entire time. At one point, their little boy almost ate a poppy, and his sister jumped in to save the day. It was hilarious and totally real. Moments like that? Pure magic.

Why Playful Portraits at the Poppy Fields Work So Well
Kids don’t always love the idea of posed photos, and that’s totally okay. In fact, playful portraits at the poppy fields work because kids can move, explore, and be themselves. The open space lets them play. The light adds softness. The colors? They pop in every photo. It’s a dream location for families who want authentic memories.
After soaking up the wildflower vibes, we headed just a few minutes away to Box Elder Campground. The shift in scenery was perfect—think pine trees, tall grass, and quiet trails. That second location gave us more variety and let the twins wind down just enough for some sweet, snuggly shots.

A Session Full of Laughs, Love, and Personality
What made this session unforgettable was the energy the Lee family brought. They embraced the chaos. They leaned into the fun. And most of all, they trusted me to capture it all—messy hair, dirty knees, and big, genuine smiles.
