Family Pictures for a New Cache Valley Crew always feel special, and the Poremski family made this session unforgettable. They’re brand new to Cache Valley and wanted photos that marked the start of their life here. Logan Canyon felt like the perfect choice. We planned a cozy fall evening in the mountains, and after one rain-filled reschedule, the canyon finally showed off for them. The air felt crisp. The color glowed. And even though the session felt chaotic in the moment, the photos turned out warm, joyful, and full of heart.

Family Pictures for a New Cache Valley Crew in Logan Canyon
Like most young families, the Poremskis arrived with a toddler full of wiggles and curiosity. They worried the whole session was a whirlwind of movement. They wondered if we caught anything solid. But here’s the truth: toddlers make magic. They keep sessions real, lively, and honest. And as a Logan Canyon family photographer, I know how often the chaotic moments become the most meaningful photos.
When their gallery delivered, Mom lit up. Their little guy’s personality shined in every frame—his wide eyes, his soft smiles, the way he held onto his parents, and the tiny moments of stillness between his adventures. These are the moments families treasure most because they show the beauty of right now.

Why I Love Photographing Families New to Cache Valley
Meeting new families who are still finding their place here is one of my favorite parts of this job. They’re building fresh memories. They’re discovering what makes this valley special. The Poremskis chose Logan Canyon for their first photos in the area, and I love that this place will always be part of their story now. Fall in the canyon is stunning with its glowing color, soft mountain backdrops, and peaceful trails that feel dreamy in every direction.
We explored a quiet stretch of the canyon that gave us room to play. The light stayed soft. The trees framed each shot. And their little guy was free to run, wander, and be himself.
Worried Your Session Will Feel Chaotic? You’re Not Alone
Almost every parent feels that fear. But real moments make the best photos. Kids don’t need to pose perfectly. They need space to connect, explore, and show their personalities. My sessions are built around that. We play, laugh, and document the sweet in-betweens that you’ll want to remember.
