Preston Idaho Family Photos | Griffeth Extended Family

This session with the Griffeth family in the Preston mountains was extra special—it was Mom’s Christmas present, and the first time they’d all come together for family photos in over 20 years! With sunflowers still hanging on for their last bloom, we caught them just in time for a gorgeous golden-hour session.

The Griffeths are close friends of ours, so this shoot felt even more personal. They were so easygoing and fun, which made the whole experience relaxed and joyful. Everyone showed up ready to make memories, and it really showed in these Preston Idaho family photos—from the biggest group shots to the sweetest little grandbaby moments.

We made sure to capture every possible grouping: full family, individual families, grandkids with grandparents, and all the sweet in-betweens. The mountain backdrop gave us the perfect frame for each set, and the light danced beautifully across their happy faces.

You could see how much it meant to everyone to be together. There was so much laughter, gentle teasing, and even a few happy tears as they posed and reminisced. One of my favorite parts was watching the cousins giggle together—it reminded me just how important these kinds of sessions are. Life moves fast, but photos like these hold a moment in time forever.
