My soon to be brother-in-law texted me yesterday during church with the game plan. He had the ring in hand and scavenger hunt mapped out. There was not an emoji to describe my excitement. I met him at the proposal location just after six. This hill we met on overlooked the entire Cache Valley from Sky View Mountain to Mountain Crest. You could see the Logan Temple, Utah State and Kayla’s little car coming up the hill.
Josh kept tabs on Kayla by placing a family member at each scavenger hunt location. They kept calling to confirm when she had arrived and left. When we saw her on the Rhino, Josh ducked and ran behind the bushes where I hid with my cameras. She passed the last clue and almost saw us crouched in the bushes. Then, she reversed and Josh snuck up behind her. He knelt down on one knee and asked her to marry him and of course she said YES. There was a ton of hugging, kissing and ring admiring until we made our way back down the little mountain.
Welcome to the family Josh. I am so happy for you both.
