Brandt and Savanna met on the court in high school. Savanna was on the Yelm Torandos girls basketball team and Brandt was on the Tornados boys basketball team. Savanna spied on Brandt during her water breaks and conveniently ran into him in the halls between classes. On July 24th, 2009, Savanna and Brandt were laying under the stars on a basketball court when Brandt asked Savanna to be his girlfriend. Their love started with basketball and has grown into an incredible friendship ever since.
Their love for basketball doesn’t stop with the Yelm Tornados. In fact, they share an even passionate love for the NBA Lakers. So passionate that their wedding was Lakers Themed. Yellow dresses, purple ties, yellow and purple bouquets, Lakers basketballs, yellow and purple candy bar, a purple basketball net and a Lakers garter. The dance floor was even a basketball court. Before their first dance as bride and groom, they played a quick one on one. At the end of the night, Savanna helped the flower girls with their shooting skills and the groomsmen shot around the hoop.
The entire wedding was held in the most beautiful location. It was a house on the lake surrounded by tall trees. Brandt and Savanna were married on top of a hill under a beautiful gazebo. It was a wonderful, beautiful wedding that I was honored to capture.
