Kylee asked me to write a little something about our sister Lauren and her family, and I happily obliged…
Lauren is three years older than me. Growing up, she was loud and crazy and energetic–which is kind of perfect because she’s always loved kids. She has a huge heart, and is especially patience and compassionate towards people with disabilities. I always knew she’d be a great mom. Believe it or not, being a mom has mellowed her out a little bit. If you know her, that might seem like a stretch because she’s still wild, but she also has a really soft, quiet, calm side that I didn’t see as much before. She hasn’t lost her spunk, though.
I love watching PJ and Lauren (usually in the kitchen making dinner) joking with each other–they are both sassy I’ve learned. But you can always feel the love they gave for each other and their family in their home. #couplegoals
The other day I asked, “are you done having children now that you have Maelie?”
she literally lol’d at me…
No, she’s planning on being a mother of many, which makes my heart happy #auntgup. She’s almost got her master in human development and family science. She’s a parent coach–she helps parents learn how to parent children with challenging behavior. She has lots of dreams when it comes to her family and career and I don’t doubt that she’ll work at them until they all come true.
