The 21st. Christian’s lucky number. The day they met, and the day they will be married. Today. We started their bridal session with a first look in the almost-blooming orchard. Christian read a short letter from Cara, that got him in the feels and when he turned around it wasn’t a contrived moment at all. It was true love and the promise of eternity he was seeing in her eyes and the dress was just the cherry on top. Cara and Christian came to their bridal session in the highest fashion. Both Cara’s blush dress and Christian’s bright blue suit were custom made, and Christian’s tie came all the way from Korea, where Cara had recently visited. Free spirited and full of adventure, Cara lives each day barefoot. Her bridals were no exception. We were surrounded by a gorgeous warm spring light and incredible locations in willow tree houses, lush forests and orchards. A gorgeous blush dress flying in the wind, as she tip toed and danced around barefoot. It was magical.

Cara and Christian are married!! They are type of couple that when you are around them, you can feel the synergy of their souls. Working with these two over the last few months has been a blast and an honor to get to interact with love like they have. Their wedding day was a little bit bittersweet since I won’t get to see them and email with them anymore! If you remember their amazing bridals, where we spent an amazing evening making magic, I basically decided that it couldn’t get any better than that. Well, I was wrong. Their wedding day was perfect. They had a mass of friends and family waiting outside the temple to greet them and give them hugs. We had a blast during all their family pictures and Cara and Christian couldn’t stop looking at each other. Remember what I was saying about their unique love? It was so fun to see their families and friends’ personality during the fun portraits. I see where they get their energy from! Everyone was totally good looking and happy! Also, the bridesmaids had ombre bouquets!! The Potted Pansy is amazing.
The reception was held at the Loft at Brick Canvas and was nothing short of spectacular. Cara had a vision for her reception as a fun, carefree party, without a tradtional line. They mingled in between friends and family as everyone visited the ice cream bar they had set up. There were cute touches of Cara’s personality in the banners, miss-matched frames, small benches with potted flowers and gorgeous over the top florals. It was a big goal for her to arrange all the florals herself and in between school and moving and last minute wedding details, she pulled it off and did great! I love brides who DIY it just right. The ended the night dancing as Christian danced with his wife for the first time. They continued busting a move with their friends before finally exiting through a tunnel to a pink corvette, that Christian surprised the guests with. It was the perfect end to a perfect day. Congrats Cara and Christian! It’s been an honor to serve you!
