Rechelle and Kody were married by Rechelle’s father in the Smokey Mountains of North Carolina. It was a special place near where Rechelle was raised that held great significance her entire life. All of Rechelle’s family lived close by and Kody’s family roadtripped all the way from Utah. The families mixed together perfectly and by the end you couldn’t even tell who’s side was who’s. They loved each other instantly and became one big family at once. The wedding morning started off a little bit rocky with a crazy storm. The original location was too stormy, so we moved down the mountains a little ways and waited for a break in the rain. I had never been more wet in my entire life, but it was 100% worth it for the views. The storm came and went all morning, but by evening it had cleared up. The sunshine even came out. We spent the afternoon with family. And the evening was spent hiking to the most gorgeous waterfalls around the reception location. We ended our day back in the Smokey Mountains at WaterRock Knob (original wedding spot) for the most romantic sunset. Rechelle and Kody were so sweet with one another. Their families were all so kind and inviting. It was the best day ever being a North Carolina Wedding Photographer for the first time! And I LOVED having Mary Ohm by my side as my amazing SECOND SHOOTER!! She killed it, and made the weekend so much fun!
