Rubie & Mark’s Engagement Session at The Narrows

I had the absolute best time photographing Rubie and Mark’s engagement session at The Narrows—one of my all-time favorite mountain spots in Northern Utah. Tucked away in the pines, this dreamy location always delivers the kind of magic you want for engagement photos: golden light, towering trees, and a peaceful backdrop that feels like it’s just yours for the evening.

These two are such a sweet pair. They met on Mutual, and it didn’t take long to see how perfectly they fit together. Rubie is full of light—kind, strong, and such a calming presence. Mark is incredibly thoughtful and intentional in the way he speaks and loves, which Rubie absolutely adores. Watching their chemistry in front of the camera was such a joy. Every interaction felt natural, warm, and completely genuine.

We got lucky with the most gorgeous golden hour glow. The light filtered through the trees and wrapped them up in the softest warmth—it honestly felt like the mountains were showing off just for them. From giggles and playful glances to quiet, connected moments, their session had all the best kinds of emotion.

They’ll be tying the knot this summer in the Brigham City Temple, and I already know their wedding day will be just as full of love and light as their engagements.
