Scottsdale Family Photographer | Watson Family

I reached out to Elisa Watson super last minute on my trip to Arizona. I had a family session cancel on me and I wanted to fill my time some how. I thought about who I could give a session to that has impacted me some way, and the first family I thought of was the Watson family. I met the Watsons last year at Showit’s United (click if you want to see me on the front page of their website, haha) conference in Scottsdale Arizona.

Summer Camp

The Showit United conference is like a summer camp for photographers. 300 photographers come together to hear some of the industry leaders speak, teach, and inspire. Last year my mind was blown.  I listened to people teach about how you can use your own individual strengths and talents to help your business grown. I walked away from the conference feeling more in love for my industry than I had ever felt. I wasn’t worried about the competition, because I knew that they were different from MY business. Sure, we all take pictures, but my photography business was different from everyone else’s.

Favorite Presentation

I remember one of my favorite speeches from the conference was from Elisa Watson. I wrote her a thank you not after telling her how much I loved her presentation. She was so articulate. Her message was clear, easy to understand, and easy to apply. I thought to myself, I want to be like Elisa Watson.

Family Pictures was the Cherry on top!

I love them more now! After family pictures we went to dinner! I was so excited to learn about Elisa’s future speaking engagements and Todd’s iron man training.
