A Sweet Syracuse LDS Temple Baptism Session
I absolutely loved meeting Jessica and her family for Kinsley’s baptism photos at the Syracuse LDS Temple.
Jessica found me through Google, and we instantly clicked. She was so warm and friendly, and Kinsley was just as sweet. She clearly loved getting her photos taken and made my job so easy.
Her dad and little brother joined us too, and the four of us had plenty of laughs thanks to their antics. I love when a baptism session includes the whole family because those little interactions often end up being some of my favorite photos.

Beautiful Photos Even When the Weather Doesn’t Cooperate
The Syracuse Temple was beautiful, but we had one little problem: the wind was wild.
A storm was coming in, and everyone could definitely feel it.
But everyone was such a good sport. Instead of letting the weather ruin our session, I looked for spots around the temple that gave us a little protection. Columns, trees, and tucked-away areas helped block the wind while still giving us beautiful backgrounds.
This is one reason I never want families to panic when the weather forecast isn’t perfect.
There is usually more flexibility than you think.
As a photographer, I’m constantly watching the light, wind, backgrounds, and what is happening around us. Sometimes the best photos come from finding a spot you might not have noticed at first.

Kinsley Was Ready for Her Baptism Photos
Kinsley was adorable throughout the entire session. She loved being in front of the camera, and I loved getting to capture both her sweet personality and this important milestone.
Baptism photos don’t have to feel stiff or overly posed. I want them to feel like her.
We can get the classic temple portraits, but I also love making room for the little smiles, family interactions, and personality that make the photos feel personal.
And having Dad and her little brother there made this session even more fun.
Planning Your Syracuse Temple Baptism Photos
If you’re planning baptism photos at the Syracuse LDS Temple, don’t let a less-than-perfect weather forecast automatically stress you out.
We can work with what we have.
Wind, clouds, changing light, or even a storm moving in can mean we get a little creative with where we take photos. My job is to help you navigate those things so you can focus on your family and the reason you’re there in the first place.
