Amanda and Jeff have been talking about marriage for a little while, but it wasn’t until a few weeks ago when they put plans in place to elope. So many things fell into place with the temple and dates that May 21st became the day. With just 10 days to plan outfits and tell their closest family, they pulled off a temple elopement!! Amanda wasn’t expecting a proposal because of such short notice, but Jeff had other plans. He emailed me the sweetest email about how perfect he wanted it to be for Amanda.
We planned this proposal location and he surprised Amanda by showing up at work to pick her up and take her to dinner. (He lived in SLC, she lived in Cache Valley). They showed up, sat on the bench for a minute then he stood her up and knelt down on one knee. I couldn’t hear what they were saying, but I saw Amanda’s happy tears from across the street and behind the bush…and my happy tears came too. I’ve been taking pictures for Amanda and her two boys for several years, but this week was the most special of all.
On Wednesday he proposed and on Saturday they were married. I showed up at the Salt Lake Temple a few hours before their sealing so we could get pictures done and they could focus on their marriage the rest of the night. Jeff brought the boys in their cute shorts and ties, and Amanda came all dolled up, completely glowing. I love this little family of four, and I’m so excited they get to be together as a team for Eternity.
