The Michael’s | Bear Lake Extended Family Photos
WHEN YOU SCHEDULE PICTURES, SOMETIMES IT RAINS
The Michaels were absolute TROOPERS for their Bear Lake Extended Family Photos! Not only did they get a LOT of little girls ready, right as they got out of their cars it started raining!! So we hurried inside to the Bear Lake Visitors Center for about 10 minutes, waiting out the micro storm. We almost got in cars to drive in up the canyon to escape the rain, but it stopped right as we were talking about it! The rain made everything extra green for pictures, so it was worth the wait!
KEEPING KIDS HAPPY TIP!
One thing about pictures with me is I have my photo backpack with me. I have dads stash keys along with my extra gear in there so there’s no funny pockets, and it’s the perfect place for treats! Sharon was a wise grandma and came prepared with Albanese gummy bears (the best gummy bears ever if you haven’t tried them!) so we just stuck the bag in my backpack! It was at the ready whenever a grandkid needed a little encouragement or a job well done! Gummy bears are a great treat to pack because they aren’t messy!! Smarties are good too, but then you have to deal with the packaging. And lollipops are a no-go!! They get so messy and turn teeth and tongues different colors.
MAKE THE MOST OF A RAINY NIGHT
While it sprinkled off and on throughout the session, we were able to be in a beautiful grove of trees that protected us from most everything! So we were still able to get lots of beautiful pictures in. There were a couple of soaked moments, but we all laughed and said that it would be a very memorable moment in their family vacation!! You come to Bear Lake to play in the water, right?! So we extended that water fun haha!
Right as we were finishing, the storm cleared. We got some gorgeous family pictures on the edge of the visitor’s center parking lot, with Bear Lake in the background. It was the perfect end to a wild and wonderful evening! Thank you for rolling with the punches Michael’s family! I LOVE how these turned out!
