Some wedding days feel extra special because of the people in front of your camera. Tucker and Alexia’s wedding was one of those days for me.
I taught these two cuties when they were in sixth grade, so getting the chance to photograph their wedding years later felt pretty surreal. It was such an honor that they asked me to be the one behind the camera for such an important day in their lives.
From their wedding at the Logan LDS Temple to their celebration at The Ridge Venue, it was a day I was genuinely grateful to be part of.

From Sixth Grade to Wedding Day
There is something really cool about getting to watch people grow up.
I knew Tucker and Alexia as sixth graders, and then years later, I was standing there with my camera while they promised forever to each other.
Being invited back into their lives in this completely different way made the day even more meaningful for me.
Wedding photography already comes with the privilege of witnessing some of the biggest moments in a couple’s life. When I’ve known the couple for years, that feeling is even stronger.
I wasn’t just photographing two people I had met for the first time. I was photographing two people whose story I had been lucky enough to be a small part of long before their wedding day.
A Wedding Day at the Logan LDS Temple
Their wedding day included portraits and time at the Logan LDS Temple before we headed to The Ridge Venue for the rest of their celebration.
The temple provided such a meaningful setting for the beginning of their wedding day, while the venue gave everyone a place to relax, celebrate, and spend time together afterward.
And we definitely needed that second part.
The Hottest Day of the Year
It was HOT.
Like, the kind of hot where everyone was very happy to arrive somewhere with air conditioning.
By the time we got to The Ridge Venue, I think we were all pretty grateful for the AC.
Summer weddings in Utah can be beautiful, but they can also come with some seriously warm temperatures. One of the things I love about wedding photography is learning how to work with whatever the day gives us.
Hot weather, changing light, unexpected moments, timelines that shift a little bit—we work with it.
My job is to keep photographing the story while helping things feel as easy as possible for my couples.

Why Your Wedding Photographer Matters
Your wedding photographer is with you through so many parts of the day.
The excitement before the ceremony.
The quiet moments between portraits.
The happy chaos of your reception.
The people who traveled to celebrate with you.
And all the little things you probably won’t even notice happening around you.
I love that wedding photography gives me a front-row seat to all of it.
For Tucker and Alexia, getting to document their wedding after knowing them as sixth graders made that responsibility feel especially meaningful.
Logan Wedding Photography
If you’re planning a wedding in Logan, Northern Utah, or at the Logan LDS Temple, I’d love to hear about your plans.
I’m not just there to take pretty pictures. I’m there to document the people, relationships, emotions, and little moments that make your wedding day yours.
If you’re looking for a Logan wedding photographer, reach out and let’s talk about your wedding day. I’d love to hear your story, walk through your plans, and see if we’re the right fit to document it all for you.
