There’s something extra special about vacation photography in Park City, especially when it’s a last-minute adventure that turns into pure magic. The Jochec family traveled all the way from Texas to soak up some fresh mountain air—and their family photo session quickly became one of the highlights of their trip.

Sara reached out just after arriving in Park City. As soon as she saw the beauty of the mountains, wildflowers, and golden light, she knew she couldn’t leave without capturing her family in that setting. Even though it was a spontaneous decision, we were thrilled to fit her in and help bring her vision to life.

We met up at Bonanza Flat, one of my favorite hidden gems in the Park City mountains. It’s peaceful, scenic, and bursting with that wild alpine beauty that makes Utah so special. The evening was perfect—clear skies, soft light, and just the right amount of mountain breeze to make everyone’s hair look amazing. 😍

From the moment they stepped out of the car, the Jochec family was all smiles. You’d never guess this session was booked last-minute! They were relaxed, open-hearted, and full of joy. We laughed so many times throughout the shoot—especially with her two teenagers who were champs about the whole thing. (And let’s be honest: getting teens to genuinely enjoy family photos is a huge win!)
