Eight years. Eight beautiful years of taking the Thompson Family pictures. And in those eight years, we’ve never shot at one of my go-to locations: Denzil Stewart Park.
The reason I LOVE Denzel Stewart park is because the light is so dreamy. All year round, you can find glowy light, shade and more. Sometimes its hard to find a spot that has good light for more than an hour. This makes it easier to shoot here with younger kids that have earlier bedtimes!
In addition, Denzil Stewart Park has a such a variety of backdrops. Because this was just a mini session, we mainly stuck to two of them. But both are SO incredibly gorgeous.
1. The field
The field at Denzil Stewart Park is so open. The grass is tall. There’s a sprinkle of wild flowers mixed in. Lots of room for walking and playing. Its the perfect spot for family pictures of every size.
2. The water
Just a few steps a way, there’s a river. The rock that surrounds the river is a gorgeous texture and color. The water running behind is so pretty and such a different look than the field.
Between the field and the river, this spot gives a ton of variety. There’s also bridges, sidewalks, pine trees, fences and more.
Kylee started Kylee Ann Photography 9 years ago, and has since grown from a one woman amateur show to a full associate team. We shoot 50-75 weddings a year, and thrive on kindness and service. After a year of teaching Intro to Photography at the local technical college, she discovered that helping other entrepreneurs create thriving businesses is what fires her up! She hosts semi-annual Kylee Ann Sleepovers all over the US, speak at conferences and teach online courses about running a small business and marketing.
