Lindsie and Alek were both born very early so when Lindsie was progressing so well, we all had high hopes that baby Jenson would come early too. He even was surprising the doctors with his overdue entrance! Finally at 40+ weeks and 4cm dilated, Lindsie was induced. She went in for a check-up on Monday and the doctor told her to come back in a few hours for induction. After getting started and checked in, she found out that she couldn’t have an epidural or spinal block within 24 hours of her blood clot shots. After much debate, we packed up and came back in the morning and I’m so glad we did! When I got back to the hospital Tuesday morning, everyone was rested, pain-free and ready to push! Lindsie and Alek were an adorable team through the pushing. After only about 40 minutes of pushing, Jenson made his debut. He was calm and quiet from birth until I left. Also, very photogenic. And I’ve never seen such beautiful, pink baby skin. He is absolutely perfect. Congratulations Lindsie and Alek.
