Photographing Jolie’s senior session was a full-circle moment that hit me right in the feels. It feels like just yesterday we were taking her baptism photos—and now here she is, stunning, confident, and ready to take on the world. Her high school senior photography in Davis County session was everything: sentimental, stylish, and totally her.
Jolie had a unique idea that I absolutely loved. Instead of doing one traditional session, we planned a split session to capture two totally different seasons. For the first part, we explored the mountains while they were still lush and green in the fall. Later, we’ll meet up again in the spring when the open fields are full of fresh life. It’s the best of both worlds and gives her a versatile gallery that truly reflects who she is.

One of my favorite moments from the first session was her red cowboy boots! She searched high and low and ended up finding the perfect pair at Reams—yes, really! They were the perfect pop of fun and added so much personality to her mountain photos.
Jolie brought a quiet confidence to the session that made her photos shine. She’s grown into such a kind and thoughtful young woman, and it was so fun to watch her step into the spotlight. She knew what she wanted but also trusted the creative process, which made for an effortless and fun session from start to finish.

Why Split Senior Sessions Are So Worth It
If you want the variety of two different looks and seasons, a split session is such a smart way to do it. You can:
- Take advantage of both fall colors and spring blooms
- Try totally different outfits or vibes
- Capture even more of your personality in a relaxed way
- Avoid feeling rushed—split sessions allow more space to be creative
