Logan Family Pictures Early Fall

The Porter family chose to have their family pictures taken in Logan in the early fall.  I always tell families this is a great time to get your photos taken!  I might say that about every time of year though. Any time is a good time to capture your family.  BUT, the weather in September is definitely a plus!  It isn’t too hot or too cold. You won’t be sweating or freezing so your family can thoroughly enjoy your time together.  I truly believe that family pictures aren’t just something to be endured.

Want to hear my biggest family photo TIP?  Just relax and have fun!  It shows in your This family was the best at that!  We started out with some group photos of everyone smiling at the camera just like we always do.  Then, as I was taking individual photos of each kid, the rest of them stood close by and explored.  I would turn around every few minutes so I could take some candid pictures of their treasures.  Flowers and bugs were the favorites.  It turns out that they live on a lot of acreage up in Idaho (they traveled quite a bit for their session) and the kids just love being outside.

The boys wanted a photo together so one carried the other.  The littlest one snuggled with everyone and while they played mom and dad got some shots together too.  I always know it has been a good night when everyone has enjoyed their time together, but especially when the kids aren’t ready to leave.  They were even promised dinner and a treat and it took a few minutes for their parents to get them in the car!  Have you ever had a family photo session like that?  This is my goal for families every single time.
