Emmy and Garren are finally engaged! I have been cheering them on for months! I have known Emmy for years. To know her is to love her. She was in my ward a long time ago and she was one of my very first photography models. We took some pictures one night in front of a blossom tree and those were some of my favorite pictures! They were the front of my website for months! I really think that shoot that kept me inspired to do photography. I own my career to her! She was a bridesmaid at Ciara and Bryce’s wedding as well a few years ago! Finally it was time to get to do photos with her fiancé!
Spring Engagements
Emmy used to live in Mesa, AZ but moved last June. She headed back last winter to visit friends and when she was there, they had a holiday party! It just so happened that the game night was at his house! They met there and hit it off!

Emmy shared their first date with me and it’s too cute not to include in full! “I flew back three weeks after we met for our first date. We went to the Phoenix Art Museum, but neither of us take art super seriously so it was fun to walk around and “analyze” all of the exhibits. Afterwards we went to get ice cream but the only place open was Sonic. We pulled into one of the self-serve lanes and started deciding what to order, but before we knew it all of the lights turned off. We had been talking so long that Sonic had closed too haha. It worked out really well because he took me out again the next day for ice cream to make up for it while I was still in town. :)”

A few weeks ago Garren was in town and Emmy had plans to head to some ring stores to look at some sparkly rings. On the way to the store, Garren took a detour to one of the fancy hotels in downtown SLC and they walked around. Suddenly they were at the restaurant with the reservation he had kept a secret. He proposed there and it was a complete surprise to Emmy! He even picked out her ring on his own and he nailed it! She was so excited to say yes!

We headed to one of my FAVORITE locations in Mantua! It was so lush and green and we had the place to ourselves. You’d be hard pressed to find two people better matched for each other. They are best friends and it feels like they’ve known each other for so long. He just treats her with so much respect and you can feel her love for him from a mile away. They are going to have such an incredible marriage. Emmy picked out her amazing outfits from Bohme and they nailed them!! I loved getting to spend an evening getting to see my friend so in love! Congrats you two!
