Most of my successful ideas, products and launches were done in a week’s time. Bringing on Rachel, starting a team of associates, launching 90 Days of Marketing. All were done so quickly, finished and launched before any sort of doubt had a chance to sink in.
When I have an idea, I go for it before anybody convinces me not to do it. I don’t give anyone the chance to talk me out of it.
MY FRIENDS CALL THIS “PULLING A KYLEE,” WHICH MEANS JUST GOING FOR IT!
Taking action before letting the doubt sink in has been an important principle that has guided me in my decade of being an entrepreneur. When an idea feels right, I have learned to just go for it rather than spending time doubting myself.
But this hasn’t been an easy thing to do, I definitely had to train myself to ignore the doubt!
There are so many things that are heavy on our minds. Should I buy a house? Is it time to have another kid? Should I start a podcast? Should I launch a course? Should I marry the person I’ve been dating?
WHAT HAVE YOU ALWAYS WANTED TO DO? DOES IT SEEM OUT OF REACH? WHAT DO YOU NEED TO DO?
If you’ve always wanted to do it, I want you to take the next step towards that. You can’t just dream about what you want, you have to take action.
1. The key is to take action before anyone else has the chance to convince you not to.
I have seen so many great ideas become nothing because people go to everyone else for validation and confirmation, they doubt themselves. Let me tell you, your moms and sisters are not entrepreneurs!
2. God cares about all the fine details of our businesses and will expand your gifts and your business to help others.
I have desires and goals, sometimes I have an inkling of an idea and don’t know where to start, but I spend a lot of time pondering and praying to know what I should do next. The promptings I receive help me to run with ideas without the doubt.
3. A lot of times we let doubt in because we have so many other things going on in our lives that cloud our judgement.
Instead of just allowing ourselves to have an idea and run with the idea, we make up excuses and put that idea on the back burner. We have to be constantly moving, constantly working towards our goals.
4. Nothing will happen until we take that first step and just start going for it.
Anything you do towards your bigger goal is going to take you one step closer. Whatever your goal, if you’ve always wanted to do it, I want you to take the next step towards that. Start researching, list pros and cons, write everything down and commit. Doors will open with each new step!
DO WHAT YOU SET OUT TO DO.
DO WHAT YOU ARE CALLED TO DO, WHAT YOU ARE PROMPTED TO DO AND DO IT NOW!
