Taylor and August | Providence Studio Motherhood Newborn Session

Our Providence studio is the perfect place for a simple motherhood newborn session.  The solid walls and big windows create a simple backdrop along with beautiful light.  You don’t have to worry about anything except snuggling your little one.  We get to focus on capturing all of the little details of this precious time in your life.

I am in the habit of pulling my camera out during lifestyle sessions as soon as we start our time together.  Changing your baby’s clothes, feeding them, and wiping spit-up are all a huge part of your life right now.  A part that you will soon forget even though it might seem endless right now.  I want you to remember all of those little things.

There is really nothing like the bond between a brand new mother and her brand new baby.  This motherhood newborn session was extra special because we were able to focus only on the two of them.  The simplicity of their wardrobe also helped the focus be on them and their relationship.  Taylor commented on how much her little August had already changed in his first four weeks of life.  She was grateful to be able to have photos to remember him just as he was that day.

How much time do you spend in bed with a new baby?  Any mother would tell you, a LOT.  Many of the best memories I have with my newborns are those times that we were able to just lay down and snuggle together.  It was clear how much little August wanted to be near his mom at every moment.  He would calm down the moment he was near her.  Giving him time to just lay down and letting them snuggle with each other brought some quiet peaceful moments and touching photos.
