Zacarias Family Session | San Diego Family Photographer
Maria and Vin were a referral from another San Diego Family. They are highschool sweethearts and now their kids are also at the same high school where they met. The Zacarias family had their pictures taken last year in La Jolla and wanted something a little more out in nature for this year and spending most of the year in Utah, I knew I could give them exactly what they wanted.
Rancho Penasquitos Ranch House
Our strategy was to first find a location, which was a little trickier because most of my San Diego sessions are usually all on the beach. Maria found Rancho Penasquitos Ranch House and it was the perfect blend of green woodsy trees and a classic, California, rolling hill backdrop. This park is amazing, surrounded by baseball fields, walking trails, and the ranch house itself that also serves as a venue.
Maria was so fun to work with off the bat. She instantly sent me her girls’ Instagram accounts and their pictures from previous years so that I could get a feel for their family vibe before flying out to take their session. She was great to trust me to help her with outfits (even though they didn’t any help at all, I mean come on, they are supermodels!) We talked back and forth for about a month and a half to make sure we could get all the important details.
All of the Zacarias children have names that start with “M”: Makaelah, Maddie, Matthew, and little Mia. The whole family was all smiles during our session and I swear trained models. I loved watching the dynamic of their family and how each family member took on their own role. Littlest sister Mia definitely plays her role as baby sister very well and as you can see is totally adored by ALL. I mean look at all her sass and smiles, can you blame them?
