Bride Tip • 4 things I don’t regret registering for

hello, Brooklyn here.

If you missed my wedding, it was the best wedding ever! I’m so bias, but truly it was one of the happiest days of my life. I’m going to post a lot about it in the coming months, but today I wanted to share a few things that I learned about the wedding registry. Mostly, I just want to share 4 things I don’t regret registering for & why.

1. Side Tables

We live in a really small apartment–like we literally can’t even fit a normal sized couch into our living room. Trust me, we’ve tried. So I had to register for furniture that would fit nicely without taking up too much space. So instead of a kitchen table, we bought two small side tables. They feel like portable desks because the bottom part slides under the couch and you can pull it all the way to you when you’re sitting down. It’s like a more comfortable TV tray. When they’re not in use, they go on the side of our little love seat and act as a side table.

2. Laundry Organizer

This is my favorite thing. I’m a big fan of clean clothes, but I don’t always get them folded right away. I hate lugging around huge laundry baskets of clothes and placing them in inconvenient places. We keep this laundry organizer in the laundry room, so that I can wheel it around easily. I hang the clothes that can’t be dried, and put all the dry clothes in the bottom part until I can fold them. It saves us a lot of space, and it’s easy to wheel it around the house when I’m ready to transfer the clothes into the dresser or closet.

3. Crock Pot

If you don’t have one, you need one. All our favorite meals, all of our easiest meals (if you don’t count pizza rolls or cereal) come from our new crock pot. There are thousands of recipe’s online for any kind of food you want to try, and it’s a fun way to try out new things without committing to a whole day of cooking, or risking it getting burnt. It’s saved us from starving or living off of pizza rolls and cereal.

and last but not least…..

4. This Shark Vacuum Cleaner

I was sold on this bad boy the first time I used it. I wanted to go somewhere in town to vacuum out my car one day, and my sister said “just use my vacuum”. She then proceeds to press a button on her small but sturdy vacuum cleaner, and half of it pops off. It was so light to carry with me to the car, but powerful enough to clean the entire thing in no time. This vacuum can do all sorts of crazy things. The video is on amazon, and it still amazes me to this day. I use it to clean up everything.
