You could say that Rachel and David have a story of fate. An Ohio girl living in Utah decided to move for the summer, looking for adventure. She moved out to Wisconsin for the summer to be near her cousin who was living there at the time. On the first Sunday there, the blonde guy with the fauxhawk behind her caught her eye. He was from Arizona, living in Rexburg and doing summer sales in Wisconsin. She wanted to talk to him, but he came to talk to her first. He left with her number. The rest is history. A summer of dating and falling in love. When they were back at school, David set up a romantic proposal at a pavilion overlooking Mt Sterling. He had a table set for two and a fire going. They sat down to start eating dinner and David asked Rachel to let go of a helium balloon that was attached to their table. So she let it go and they watched it fly away. Then they started eating and he says, “woe”. As she turned around to see what he was looking at, she saw hundreds of helium balloons being launched into the air. And while she was distracted looking at the balloons, he got down on a knee. Now they are continuing their engagement with a long distance commute. Every weekend they switch between Logan and Rexburg. I can’t wait for their snowy winter wedding this December with this fun and GORGEOUS couple.
