I’ve posted quite a few in-home newborn sessions lately. But it’s just not for everyone. Some people find a lot more stress in leaving the house after they have a new child. Others find more stress and inviting someone in to their home after they have a new child. If you agree with the second statement, a newborn studio session is for you!
Pro Tip: I love letting each of the children take turns with the baby from the beginning. That way they all get there turn, they get to physically show me how much they love and cherish their little sibling. And a lot of times the rest of the session will be smoother.
Studio Newborn Session
Studio newborn sessions are simple and easy. You don’t have to clean your house, you don’t have to worry about lighting or controlling the environment. All you have to do is show up.
Sometimes kid kids will respond better in a new environment that is unfamiliar. So studio session can provide a more controlled experience for not only the photographer, but also for your kiddos.
Another great thing about a studio session is that usually the studio has beautiful windows, with gorgeous views you normally wouldn’t get from your own home. It also provides open lighting, clean lines and typical unruffled props. The atmosphere is bright and spacious And can add quite a bit of structure to your family pictures without even having to try.
Just remember, no matter where you are, your newborn session will be perfect, because your little one is perfect. I love how squishy baby’s cheeks are, and and how their siblings are. I love seeing parents swoon over there sweet children. And how the older children instinctively want to be near and protect their baby.
