“You can’t have one foot in and and one foot out on both parts of your life.”
When I was attending Glow Con a few months ago, Rachel Hollis dropped so many truth bombs that us moms in business needed to hear. We are constantly trying to be the best moms we can be WHILE trying to run a successful business. And it just doesn’t work.
If you aren’t using a babysitter or kid-free work time, you are doing your family AND business a disfavor. It took me awhile to realize that trying to keep my kids around all the time, actually was hurting them more than helping them when I couldn’t give them my all. And the same for my business. I was one foot in and one foot out. In both parts of my life.

Last semester I couldn’t find a sitter during the day, and I was constantly trying to work and mom at the same time. This semester I’m back to my 6 hour work day ONCE a week. I am truly a better mom when I use a babysitter to get work done instead of multi-task my entire work week. You can also try waking up an hour earlier or going to bed an hour earlier.
You CAN commit to spending FIVE uninterrupted hours on your business this week!

“I don’t think the goal is ever to be balanced. I think the goal is to be centered. Centered means that you feel grounded and at peace with yourself. Centered means that you can’t be knocked off balance regardless of how chaotic things become.”
